The Film M in general?
The film was produced in 1931 and was directed by Fritz Lang. The film is an example of the German expressionist movement and is an early example of film noir, which Fritz Lang later would do in Hollywood. The film is about a child murderer that had just killed the latest victim named Elise, after he murdered her he sent a letter to the newspaper to urge the police to come after him. The film then follows a group of criminals and the police looking for this guy to return to normalcy. And what leads to him getting caught is sound, the sound of him trying to escape, then he was originally found because he whistles when he is about to kill. This film ends with the criminals doing a mock trial on him, where he says he can’t control his murderous activity, then the police come and arrest him.

What is the plotline of Gold Diggers?
Gold Diggers is a film during and about the Great Depression, it is also a non-integrated musical meaning that the songs do not progress the plot. The main four girls are performers and are all living together in the same apartment but all their shows keep stopping before they can get even paid. Next to them lives Larry who makes music and as we find out later is rich, and he gets hired to make the music for Barney’s next show. Larry doesn’t want to perform but has to bc the old actor had a case of bad back stuff, and now the world knows the this rich person is doing musicals. Larry’s brother brad comes in trying to get larry not to marry Carol, but gets tricked by Polly and ends up falling for her. Ends up with everyone getting married and Brad allowing larry to marry carol.
