Narrative structure
Narrative structure—which incorporates storyline and plotline—is the organizational framework of a story. Stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end.

Visual Motif
A repetition of the same image that forms a pattern with a meaning behind it.
Mise-en-scene
A film’s look or decor is created by its set, props, costumes, lighting, photography, and actors’ postures and proximities, making up the film’s visual universe and generating its mood and meaning.
Diegetic elements
The narrative world of the film, including all elements such as actions and sounds that happen within the films setting that, would happen in the makeup world of the film
Non-diegetic elements
Background music and sounds that would not happen in the world of the film
