Crab shot
Is shot where the camera is placed in a confined space like inside a cupboard. See characters reaction when exploring in that space
Deep focus
Allows both objects near and from the camera to be focused
Vertigo effects
When the screen zooms in then zooms out create a sense of dizzyness and distortions
Pull focus
When something in is out of focus but changes to being in focus to highlight that is more important now within the narrative
Loose focus
Shows character in like room with lot of empty space to empansies this feeling of alone and isolated
Whip pan
Creates element surprise or any sudden events building tension
Eye line match
Maintains the same the eye line level when cutting between scenes. This is to highlight what the characters but also what the camera sees
Graphic match
Doing the same action cutting from one scene to another
Fade to black
Situation has ended or being resolved
Action match
Cutting through the different points show different perspectives
Slow motion
Slow motion used for emotional or comical effect
Short takes
Fast cuts the match the speed of action making seem more intense
Long take
To show and follow the characters journey or path
Camera split
The scene splits into sections to show the multiple events happening at the same time
Jump cuts
Cuts similar part of the scene but missing a piece of action. To show how disorientated the character by disorientated the viewer.
