What does BBFC stand for?
British Boarder of Film Classification
What is meant by demographic?
The aspects of a group/person/ audience that are fixed at birth and not easily changed about a person. E.g.//
Nationality/age/height
What is meant by psychographic?
These are aspects of personality that can be controlled. E.g.//
Sports team/fashion/hobbies/music
What is a mass audience?
Large scale, big group
What is a niche audience?
Small and specific audience, not always mainstream
What is a global village?
People around the world with the same niche interests

Algorithms are used to select information which may be suitable for an audience member, without the users awareness

The split between social statuses
What social status can be found in social grade A, and what jobs do they do?
Upper middle class, they have jobs such as doctors or lawyers
Wha social status can be found in social grade B, and what jobs do they do?
Middle class, they have jobs such as managers and teacher
What social status can be found in social grade C1, and what jobs do they do?
Lower middle class, they have jobs that are non manual, in offices

Skilled working class, jobs such as plumbers and electricians

Working class, jobs such as shop assistants, farm and building site labourers

Unemployed/ receiving benefits, casual workers( not in regular employment) and pensioners who depend on the state for their income

Geodemographic, every postcode in the UK fits into one of 62 types. Uses information gathered from purchases/ contracts
What are the differences between sans serif and serif font?
Sans serif = chatty, informal, friendly, colloquial
Serif = older, formal and traditional
What does the sans in sans serif mean?
Means without ( the bottom bit added serif)
