Simile
A comparison of two things using like or as

Euphemism
the substitution of a mild, indirect, or vague expression for one thought to be offensive, harsh, or blunt. E.g. To use “he passed away” instead of “died”
Synonym
A synonym is a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word
Rhyme
correspondence of sound between words or the endings of words
Internal Rhyme
a rhyme involving a word in the middle of a line and another at the end of the line or in the middle of the next.
Symbolism
the use of symbols to represent ideas or qualities
Oxymoron
Successive words that seem to contradict themselves
