Expression showing less feeling than expected
What is an onomatopoeia?
A word that show a sound
What is an idiom?
An expression not meant to be taken seriously
What is a pun?
A play on words
What is a proverb?
An expression meant to offer wisdom
What is an oxymoron
Two words put together that contradict each other
What is an alliteration?
The repetition of consonant sound at the beginning of nearby words
