A

A person enters a stressful situation.
The amygdala in the limbic system is activated sending a distress signal to the hypothalamus
This activates the sympathomedullary pathway
This alerts the sympathetic nervous system
This stimulates the adrenal medulla
This secretes adrenalin and noradrenaline into the bloodstream.
Causes physiological changes for fight or flight.
Chooses whether to fight or run.
Parasympathetic nervous system takes over
