What is the MoA of fibrinolytic enzymes?
A
Promote the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin = fibrinolysis = the breakdown of the clot into fibrin degradation products

What is the problem with streptokinase?
A
It is antigenic = body will produce antibodies against it. NICE says that if ever had drug before, it is better to try another drug even if been over a year since last treatment.

Fibrinolytic enzymes are used to lyse arterial thrombi in STEMI
