What is it used for?
A
Relieve symptoms that occur with hay fever - sneezing, itchy/runny/blocked nose and itchy/red/watery eyes

Interactions
A
- Apalutamide - can decrease the effect of fexofenadine
- indigestion remedies containing aluminium and magnesium - affects action of fexofenadine by lowering the amount of medicinal product absorbed

Counselling points
A
- Do not take if pregnant unless necessary
- Not recommended during breast-feeding
- Take with water before a meal

Dosage
A
Adults and children over 12: one tablet daily

Common side effects
A
- Headache
- Drowsiness
- Nausea
- Dizziness

When to talk to doctor
A
- If you have kidney or liver problems
- Have or have had heart disease as this medicine can lead to fast or irregular heart beat
- Are elderly
