What is the treatment for hyperoestrogenism?
Supportive care + bring out of oestrus e.g. HCG inj or desorelin implants
What is the pathogenesis of insulinoma in the ferret?
Increased insulin secretion causes hypoglycaemia
What are the clinical signs of insulinoma?
Depression, collapse/recumbency, seizures, hypersalivation
What is the treatment of an insulinoma in the ferret?
None are curative, but can perform surgical removal and/or medicate w/ palliative oral prednisolone and monitor blood glucose.
