Proportion of ECF to ICF at 24 weeks, and term? And what about total body water percent?
A
24 weeks: 65%, ECF 25%, ICF. 90% TBW
Term: 45% ECF, 35% ICF, 80% TBW
ECF equals ICF at three months !

What is the most common cause of an abdominal mass in the newborn?
A
Multicystic dysplastic kidney. Bilateral disease is severe, unilateral usually is compensated. 90% have other GU anomalies with the most common being vesicoureteral reflux.
