What is a volcano feeder?
A
Long complex set of cracks through to the mantle and continental crusts which hot gas, corrosive magma travel through the surface.

No, most feeders do not reach the surface.

What happens after the magma passes through?
A
Usually, the feeder seals, the pressure is lower and the magma cools and forms a dyke and may inject itself into a horizontal gaps in rock layers to form flat sills.
