A

Drag the edge of the transition icon. For more precise control, Control-click the transition icon, and from the shortcut menu, choose Change Duration or press Control-D. When the Dashboard highlights in blue, type a new duration and press Return.

Open the Timeline Index. In the search field, enter the name of the transition type you want to delete. When these transitions are listed beneath the search field, select them all and press Delete.

A

Select a transition, and then in the toolbar, click the Inspector button, or press Command-4. The parameters you can adjust depend on the selected transition, but you can adjust parameters using a slider, a numerical field, a menu, an image well, or a color well.

How do you create a compound clip in the Timeline?

A

Select one or more clips in the Timeline. The selected clips can be any combination of contiguous or noncontiguous clips, compound clips, primary storyline clips, or connected clips. Choose File > New Compound Clip, or press Option-G. Or Control-click the selection, and from the shortcut menu, choose New Compound Clip.
