how do you differentiate a mongolian spot from a bruise?
bruise heals in different stages
mongolian spot has same colour throughout , they have an irregular shape with poorly distinguished edges
what are child behaviours of maltretament?
- withdrawn
- may be unresponsive to parent or extremely clingy
- Infants may show lack of fear of staff
- fearful of physical contact
- low self-esteem
- depression
- alcohol drug use
- runs away from home
- Feels at fault for injuries: “I was bad, I deserve it”
- altered school performance
