Presence of Health Deficits
Ilness states, regardless of whether it is diagnosed by a medical practitioner. Failure to thrive/develop according to normal rate.
Presence of Health Deficits
Conditions that are conducive to disese, accidents or failure to realize one’s health.
Presence of Health Threats
Anticipated periods of unusual demand of the individual or family in terms of family resources.
Presence of stress points/forseeable crisis
Determining the sequence in dealing with identified family needs and problems
Priority setting
A desired observable family response to planned interventions in response to a mutually identifies need.
Goals
define the step by step family responses as they work toward a goal
Objectives
actions that the nurse performs in behalf of the family when it is unable to do things for itself
Supplemental Intervention
actions that remove
barriers to appropriate health action (such as assisting the family to avail maternal and child services)
Facilitative interventions
aim to improve the capacity of the family to provide for its own health
needs.
Developmental interventions
relates to activities directed at
preventing a problem before it occurs by altering susceptibility or reducing exposure for susceptible individuals
Primary prevention
early detection and prompt intervention during the period of early disease pathogenesis. It is implemented after a problem has begun but before signs and symptoms appear and targets those populations who have risk factors.
Secondary prevention
target populations that have
experienced disease-injury and
focuses on limitation of disability and rehabilitation. It aims to reduce the effects of disease and injury to restore individuals to their optimal level of functioning.
Tertiary prevention
