Discuss roles within the family
A role: expected pattern of behaviour of an individual according to their status in society
Conflict = clash / overload= stress
Eg. Children, adolescents, parents, grandparents
Relationships within families & conflict
Child-parent: first, formative - pass on norms, encourage love, self-esteem, discipline, learning influential on development
Adolescent: conflict, employment, relationships, independence, peers influence
Generation conflict: opinions/norms clash eg. Privacy, generalisations
->compromise, empathise, communication (clarified rule/expectations, develops listening skills, reduces stress)
Social/Economic Factors changing roles within a family
Woman: working, segregated, egalitarian w/parenting

Safety order: prevents alleged offended committing/threatening further violence+prohibits watching, communicating, 5 years (not required to leave home)
Barring: same but leaves home
Protection: temporary safety waiting for district courts order
Childcare Act 1991 and rights of a kid
Ensures care/protection enforced by An Garda Siochana + TUSLA
Best interest to be reared in home, Garda intervenes if @ risk
Care order: removal into care: emergency (8 days)/ standard(18yo)
Supervision: tusla personnel monitors + visits periodically (12mo max)

Making a will
- Employ solicitor: help w/ legal+tax issues (render null will)

- Divide estate (succession act)

- Validate will: writing, testator sig + witnesses
- Store in safe place eg. Bank
