What are the signs of fainting ?
A
Pale complexion, profuse sweating, palpitations, vertigo, n/v, cold limbs, thready, rapid or deep pulse, sudden drop of blood pressure … fainting

What are the causes of fainting ?
A
Nervousness, delicate constitution, overtired, too hungry, excessive stimulation for the specific patient, or if the clinic is too hot or humid

Management when fainting ?
A
- STOP needling + REMOVE needles
- Position patient in supine position with the head lower than the feet
- In a mild case resting and tea can restore
- In more serious case, pinch DU 26 and LI 4, or Mona DU 20, ST 36, and Ren 6. remain with the patient until they are stable. If you are not 100% sure they are stable call for an ambulance.
