Q

How does concentration affect the rate of reaction?

A

The higher the concentration, the more collisions that can happen.
If there are more successful collisions, it will speed up the rate of reaction.

Q

How does pressure affect the rate of reaction?

A

Adding more substance in a container means more particles collide.
A smaller container means there would be a higher concentration.

Q

How does surface area affect the rate of reaction?

A

If there are more particles that have contact with a substance, the rate of reaction will increase.

Q

How does temperature affect the rate of reaction?

A

At higher temperatures, molecules will absorb KE which means they move faster.
The energy they absorb mean that they reach and exceed the activation energy needed for reactions to occur.
More molecules with more energy means more collisions!
