A
  • Main effects (the effect on its own)

- Interactions (whether factors interact, if the effect of one factor is dependent on another)

What are the advantages of factorial ANOVAs compared to one-way?

A
  1. The ability to analyse interactions (e.g. drug A and B may not work independently, but do together)
  2. More powerful (adding factors reduce error by accounting for variance that would e unexplained)
