A

these groups had no interest in helping women gain the vote. So had only a limited influence on a truly democratic Britain whist the political parties such as the liberals held important figures who supported not only men but women gaining the vote e.g David Lloyd George who was in support of women gaining the vote early in his career and became responsible for enfranchising the vote for women. Thus making political advantage the most important factor.
