How do you palpate Masseter?
Gloved finger is placed between cheek and molars with client teeth gentle clenched
How do you palpate Medial Pterygoid?
Gloved finger placed on last molar, than slide around to med surface of molar and inf past gums towards floor of mouth
keep finger pad against inner surface of mandible and slide finger post
Resist elevation (closing)
How do you palpate Lateral Pterygoid?
Gloved finger placed between cheek and molars with fingernail against last upper molars slide finger sup and post between maxilla and coronoid process into hollow at roof of cheek pouch resist depression (opening)
How do you palpate Mylohyoid?
gloved finger placed between lower teeth and tonuge begin at incisors, finger pad lodes down inner surface of mandible to floor of mouth, continue post to last molar resist depression (opening)
