Form bridge of upper nose
Sits in between frontal process of maxilla

Contributes to the formation of 3 cavities
Forms the posterior hard palate, floor and part of the sides of the nasal cavity and floor of orbital cavity
Nasal conchae
Thin bones forms shelf along inner surface of side of nasal cavity
Inferior, middle, superior
Lies above the roof of the mouth
Helps with warming and humidifying air
Turbinants b/c it functions like turbines funneling air during inhalation
Vomer
Shaped like a plow
Long, flat bone that joins with the ethmoid bone to create the nasal septum
Sits in the nasal crest
Zygomatic bone
Responsible for the prominences of the cheeks below and to the sides of the eyes
Form lateral and floor of the eyes
Temporal process that is called zygomatic arch
Lacrimal bone
Smallest bone in facial skeleton
Fills in portion of medial wall of eye orbit
Hyoid bone
Upper end of larynx
Connects articulatory and Phonatory systems
Just under mandible
Only bone in the body not linked to another
