Frontalis
The anterior or front portion of the epicranius, muscle of the scalp.
Fungi
Plant parasites such as molds, mildew, yeasts, and rust that can cause ringworm and favus.
Furuncle
An acute bacterial infection of a hair follicle, producing constant pain; also known as a boil.
General Infection
An infection that results when the bloodstream carries bacteria or viruses to all parts of the body.
Goal Setting
The progress of establishing both short and long term goals.
Graduated Cut
A haircut that is graduated, wedged or stack shaped at the perimeter. Usually cut in a 45 degree angle.
Greater Auricular Nerve
The nerve at the side of the neck affecting the face, ears, and neck.
Greater Occipital Nerve
The nerve located at the back of the head affecting the scalp.
Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)
A device that senses imbalances in electric current.
Guards
Plastic or hard rubber comb attachments that fits over clipper blades to minimize the amount of hair being cut by the clippers; or metal shields applied over a hair cutting razor for protection.
