Whats the deal with Timolol? What is it used for?

A

Its an ophthalmic beta blocker

Used for cranial hypertension and open angle glaucoma

When can Timolol be administered in relation to other eye drops?

A

In order to prevent the active substance(s) from being washed out when additional ophthalmic medication is used, an interval of at least 10 minutes between each application is recommended. Same applies to 2 different eye drop preps in general

Drops: Usually every 2 hours

Ointment: if using in day time, apply only at night. If using in day: 3-4 times a day.
