1
Q
What is the endosymbiotic theory?
A
The theory explains how prokaryotic cells evolved into eukaryotic cells. This happened when a larger heterotroph prokaryote engulfed a prokaryotic cell and couldn’t digest them, so they evolve into eukaryotes. Some evidence to back this theory app is eucaryotic cells, such as chloroplasts, share, similar DNA with the bacteria.
2
Q
Name structures of a cell and what they do.
A
Cell wall- have chlorophyll (fungus have chitin)
Cell membrane- allows materials in and out of a cell, holds organelles and cytoplasm.
3
Q
Coelomates, acoelomates
A
Coelomates- have a true body cavity (internal organs suspended by mesentery with a mouth and anus)
