This point is translated as Four Alert Spirit; it calms the spirit, pacifies wind, and benefits the eyes and ears. It is indicated by wind stroke, epilepsy, mania, insomnia, poor memory, generalized headache, dizziness, deafness, and eye disorders.
Shi Shen Chong - the 4 points around DU20
This point pacifies wind and calms the shen, benefits the nose, and activates the channel and alleviates pain. It is indicated by chronic and acute childhood fright wind, frontal headache, dizziness, insomnia, agitation, nasal congestion, rhinitis, eye disorders, facial pain, hypertension.
Yin Tang
This point benefits the eyes, relaxes the sinews and alleviates pain. It is indicated by redness, swelling and pain of the eyes, superficial visual obstruction, drooping or twitching eyelids, and frontal headache. It is located in the middle of the eyebrow.
Yu Yao (Fish Waist)
The point is called Behind the Ball and it benefits the eyes. It is located along the inferior border of the orbit.
Qiu Hou
This point eliminates wind and clears heat, reduces swelling and stops pain, activates qi and blood and alleviates pain. It is indicated by one-sided headache, dizziness, toothache, trigeminal neuralgia, disorders of eyes, deviation of the mouth and eye. It is located at the temple.
Tai Yang
This point clears heat and dissipates swelling, benefits the eyes and throat. It is indicated by redness, swelling and pain of the eyes, super visual visual obstruction, pain and swelling of throat, mumps, one sided headache, and high fever. This point is located at the tip of the ear.
Er Jian
This point means “Penetrating The Nose” and is indicated by rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion and discharge, nosebleed, and nasal polyps.
Bi Tong
This point transforms phlegm and dissipates nodules, stops cough, and calms dyspnea. It is in decades by scrofula, cough, dyspnea, lung consumption, night sweating, spontaneous sweating, steaming bone disorder with tidal fever and stiffness and pain of the neck. Located 2 cun superior to DU14 and 1 cun lateral to mid.
Bai Lao
This point is behind the ear. It calms the spirit and pacifies LV. It is indicated by insomnia, agitation and restlessness, palpitations, epilepsy, dizziness, headache, tinnitus, and hypertension.
An Mian
This point is 1 cun lateral to REN24. It eliminates wind, activates qi and blood and alleviates pain. It is indicated by deviation of the mouth and eye, facial pain, toothache, and swelling of the gums.
Jia Cheng Jiang
These points clears heat and reduces swelling, generates fluids and benefits the tongue. It is indicated by pain and swelling of the tongue, mouth ulcers, throat and painful obstruction, loss of voice, wasting and thirsting disorder, vomiting, and diarrhea. This pair of points is located on the veins either side of the frenulum of the tongue, it is pricked to bleed.
Jin Jin Yu Ye
This point is in between Jin Hin and Yu Ye, it clears heat and reduces swelling, generates fluids, and benefits the tongue.
Hai Quan
This point calms dyspnea and wheezing, stops cough, and is located .5-1 cun lateral to DU14.
Ding Chuan
This point nourishes yin and clears heat, it also tonifies Qi. It is indicated by steaming bone disorder, tidal fever, night sweating, agitation and heat — (yin xu) — poor appetite, heaviness of the limbs, fatigue, lack of strength, cough, dyspnea — (qi xu). It is located 1.5 cun lateral to T5. It means Gate of Suffering.
Huan Men
This point translates to “ST controller lower Shu.” It is a Shu point for diabetic conditions. It clears heat and generates fluids. It is indicated by wasting and thirsting (diabetes), dry throat, pain of the chest and lateral costal region, epigastric pain, and vomiting. It is located 1.5 cun lateral to T8
Wei Guan Xia Shu
This point translates to “Lumbar Eyes,” it is located 3.5 cun lateral to L4 (DU3). It will strengthen KD and benefit the lumbar region.
