A

A

What is an IP conflict?

A

IP conflict occur when two computers are configured with the same IP address.
Can occur if two computers are using the same static IP address that falls into the same DHCP range for the local network and the same address is assigned to the computer by DHCP.

What is subnetting?

A

Subnetting is the subdivision of your logical IP network. All computers are on one subnet or network with no division involved.
By mdofifying the subnet mask you can subnet your network into multiple smaller networks.
Subnetting the first and last address cannot be used.
You lose two addresses every time you subnet.

A

Class D is used for multicasting- trasnmiting data to multiple computers or routers.
