Q

Zombie and part time zombie they stand for and negate what

A

If according to EPI that consciousness can’t be captured through functional changes because MS are not causal efficacious then zombies are conceivable.
Also zombie experience is to support the explanatory gap.

Part-time zombies show how absurd EPI is. It also says there is no explanatory gap and no first-person priveldge because every epistemic difference (knowledge about ones own phenomenal state changes ) entail functional difference (e,g, change in memory) but as EPI says MS has no mental causation then if there is an epistemic difference it means there is a functional difference, and functional differences can be captured by the 3rd person perspective.

Part-time zombies entail that there are no epistemic priviedges (knowledge on 1st person experience unknown by the 3rd person) and so exetrospection is possible and nointrospective privilege and there is no explanatory gap.
