What was the Milgrim experiment?
The Milgram experience experiment analyzed obedience, if someone receives quarters from the perceived authority figure to harm an unseen person to the point of death then they are likely to follow those orders.
What are the conditions for obedience?
Legitimate authority close by, victim at distance, procedure institution is the enforcer, and no up standard role models exist.
What was the Solomon Ash study?
Solomon asked study was a conformity study. It was found that in a group setting if two out of three people agree with an answer that’s even wrong. Then the other person will agree, even though they know it’s not the right answer.
What are the conditions that strengthen conformity?
First one is group has at least three people, group status is admired, one is made to feel incompetent or insecure if they don’t conform
