A marriage loan of 1000 marks would be reduced with each child
Mothering medals ( bronze, silver, gold -> 8 children)

A

Some refused to quit their jobs, more women were hired as they could be paid less
Birth and marriage rates did increase
1941 -> women from conquered countries forced to work
1943 -> all women allowed to work again

A

1929 -> all children had to be part of a youth group
1933 -> 50,000 members

A
After a Jewish student shot a German diplomat in 1938, Nazis encouraged the attack of Jews and the police were not allowed to intervene. Over two nights ( 9, 10 of November)
-91 Jews murdered
30,000 sent to concentration camps
400 synagogues burnt down
7500 Jewish shops destroyed

A
  • Sent people to concentration camps -> opened up jobs but did not mark these people as unemployed
  • Public work programs -> new motorways, hospitals, schools
  • National labour service for 18-25 yo planting forests etc
  • Increased conscription ( ignored ToV)
