What is the definition of a “Relentless Solutions Focus”?
Within 60 seconds of having any negative or self-doubting thought, replace the negative thinking with solution-focused thought.
What should you do when you find yourself focusing on a problem, negativity, or self-doubt?
Ask yourself this question: “What is one thing I can do differently that could make this better?”
What is a “+1 Solution”?
It is any improvement to the current solution. Keep executing +1 Solutions relentlessly.
What are the 3 core components of “Gable Discipline”?
- Prioritize discipline - because self-discipline is a limited resource, use it on the process goals most necessary for your success. “With practice, self-discipline becomes a habit.”
- Finish what you start - discipline your mind to focus on getting started on your commitments and then use discipline to finish those tasks completely.
- Try, try again - if you come up short on discipline, find the nearest mirror and look yourself in the eye while you tell yourself, “There is no excuse, and this will not happen again.”
Define “focus”
Selectively concentrating on one part of your environment and ignoring all other elements of your environment.
