A
Arthur (a squire and 14) fails to find the sword of Sir Kay (Arthur’s foster brother).
Arthur sees Excalibur in a stone outside the chapel and draws the weapon out of the stone, not knowing the impact.

A
Arthur kills Modred, Modred simultaneously kills Arthur. In Arthur’s dying breath, he tells Sir Bedivere to return Excalibur to the lady of the lake. Finally does it after the third time.
