3-4 categories that you could compare the significance of turning points against one another
Each categories becomes a paragraph of your answer
Show covering full period
Actively compare the importance of these different turning points
How to approach ‘Factors Questions’?
Focus on the factor in the question and think of 2-3 ways in which it contributed to progress
Each of these is a theme to consider as a paragraph
Remaining 2-3 paragraphs, compare the factor in the question against any other factors - other factors have to be explicitly linked to the question and compared directly to the factor in it
How to approach ‘Single Factor Questions’?
Do not bring in other factors - focus on the factor/issue in the question and consider ways in which it contributed or obstructed progress
Overall essay will need balance - how did the factor contribute, how did it not?
