Exam technique
I would take a history asking about cough/haemoptysis, urinary symptoms. I’d ask about red flags of weight loss, night pain and fevers). Examine for breast lumps, prostate and chest.
I’d stage locally with X-rays, bone scan (non-continguous lesion) CT and MRI
I'd stage systemically with Harmatological - FBC, EUC LFT ESR & CRP - Inflammatory Ca, Ph, Mg, ALP, LDH - bone and liver EPG, IEPG, electrophoresis Urine hence jones proteins Radiological PET CT Fine slice chest CT Bone scan Skeletal survey (MM)
