Name the bone type that a gymnast would need to do a handstand and how it helps them(4).
The short bones. They are very strong and act like shock absorbers. This will allow a gymnast to bare their bodyweight and maintain their balance whilst doing a handstand to score more points from the judge.
How would the long bones help a high jumper?
Due to their length, they help create leverage. This helps create speed, force and power. The high jumper would need that power to make an explosive high jump over the pole.
