In your own words how does B-oxidation provide us with energy?

In B-oxidation FAD and NAD+ are reduced forming:
- FADH2
- NADH + H+
These energy carriers then enter the electron transport chain where they are processed to give us ATP
B-oxidation produces acetyl-CoA which enters the TCA cycle which gives us:
- 3 NADH + H+
- 1 FADH2
- 1 ATP
