Made it so that 3 of every 5 slaves would be counted toward state population, for the purpose of representation. It also made it illegal to import slaves.

Slaves born after the law is passed are freed when they are 28 years old, designed by Pennsylvania.

It ended the Revolutionary War & declared the colonies independant. It must not be confused with the prior Treaty of Paris, which ended the French & Indian War.
