Mnemonic for Norepinephrine - “NOR”
N - no hesitation, increases HR and BP

S - sleep
E - emotion
R - remember (good memory)
What are positive schizophrenia symptoms?

What are negative schizophrenia symptom?

flat/blunt affect, isolation, lack of interest, decreased speech
First generation antipsychotics (aka typical/conventional) - side effects?
- extrapyramidal symptoms
- neuroleptic malignant syndrome
- anticholinergic
Second generation antipsychotics (aka atypical) - side effects?
- metabolic symptoms: diabetes, weight gain, high cholestoral
- anticholinergic sx: decreased libido, sedation, orthostatic hypertension
DONT FORGET - clozapine - major adverse effect
