A
  • Also called “detrusor instability”
  • Most common cause of incontinence

**Detrusor muscle response to small urinary volume with contraction; post void is less than 50 mL

Meds:

  • Ditropan
  • Detrol

*****These medications relax the contracted bladder, but cause constipation, dry mouth, and affect the CNS–also, may cause acute angle glaucoma
