WHAT
Evolution = Theory that plants and animals change and adapt over time. This is to suit particular environments.
Catholics believe evolution and creation story are compatible with each other because order in which God created everything could correlate with steps in evolution
WHY
Richard Dawkins = British scientist often referred to as ‘the most famous atheist in the world’ - believes his explanation of random gene mutations in his book, the Selfish Gene, proves there is no plan made by God and there is no need for God
HOW
Belief of evolution may cause someone to question if God really exists. Might wonder why he would use evolution to create humans, rather than just creating them perfectly. Some people might question why an omnibenevolent God would allow any of His creation to become extinct
