Q

Explain two Christian teachings about evil and suffering. Refer to sacred writings or another source of
Christian belief and teaching in your answer. (5)

A

1) Evil exists as a test of faith as God is omnibenevolent therefore there must be an external reason for the existence of evil
2) teaches that evil entered the world as a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience by eating fruit from the tree of knowledge. “When the woman saw the fruit of the tree she took some and ate it.” every human birthed after has free will to choose whether they want to do bad deeds or not.
