• this includes pills
• does not include paraphernalia

• items should be appropriately packaged in original tamper proof state
• tape seals intact
• is packaging open or leaking
• if the item went to the lab is the lab seal still intact

• sign evidence dispo requests
• ORS 133.623 states in part, if things are not needed for evidentiary purposes….the officer may summarily return things seized to their rightful possessor. If the things are seized are perishable or it is not possible to return them to rightful possessor the seizing officer may dispose of the items as justice and the necessities of the case require.
