A

At the age of 16, Doras fathers friend made sexual advances to her.
When she told her father he didn’t believe her
She had a recurring dream in which he father woke her up and her house was on fire so she had to leave. Her mother wanted to stop for a jewel box but her father refused.
‘Jewel case’- used to be slang for female genitals.
Freud believed that her jewel case was in danger and her father refused to help her.
Believed it was a result of conflict between being molested and expression of sexual instinct
