HE the same outfit = formal gathering= would be regarded as abnormal

A

-STRENGTH= deviation from social norms approach =includes the issue of desirability of the behaviour
*statistical desirability does not take into account desirability
E>G genius is statistically abnormal&raquo_space;>but we would not want to include that in our definition of abnormal behaviours
-^^^^social norms can be more useful than statistical norms
