Studies into effectiveness of Rogers therapy finding it was successful in short term but not long term

What a person says rather than objective measure and there isn’t usually a long term follow up with clients

His ideas have been applied to field of organisation psychology to aid understanding of what gives people motivation to work

Concept of self actualisation and has been applied to atypical behaviour

For being culturally specific
Maslow - what does he pay to much attention to?
Healthy people and not those who have psychological disorders

A positive image of human beings and the human condition
What does the approach focus on?
Subjective experience which is important to everyday life
What is their a lack of?
Empirical research much means much of the theory is speculation
What is their a string emphasis on?
Self actualisation so biological drives play a less central role
What are some of the key concepts?
Vague and poorly defined
