Q

What is evidence?

A

How do you research results/findings support the concepts in the theory?

When explaining the research, your valuation needs to focus on the results and conclusions, as these tell us if the theory was successful

Q

What is application and implications real life?

A

How has theory been useful to society

When Explaining how the theory is useful, suggest specific examples and use concepts for theory to demonstrate the advice given

Q

What is comparisons and limitations?

A

Is this the best theory to explain the behaviour? what aspects of behaviour can the theory not explain?

Comparisons and limitations is about how good the theory is that explaining that specific behaviour

Q

What is how good is the evidence?

A

Is the evidence methodologically sound? bad research lower the credibility of the theory?

In the evidence section, you have outlined evidence to support the criticised the theory , but how good is the evidence?

Q

What are the evidence points?

A

Does the explanation have any supporting studies that shows it’s an excellent theory?

Do you live results of the research for the support individual components of the theory ?

Are there any criticising studies which find flaws in the theory? Where they suggest theory is limited?

What about research from other theories you have studied can use them to evaluate this theory too?

Q

What are the application of implication to real life points?

A

What ideas can you game from the theory to help society?

What advice does it give to improve the behaviour is trying to explain

Is it able to explain the cause of specific events that have occurred in the world? Or/ and provide useful advice on how to prevent them happening again?

Sometimes theories make suggestions that could potentially harm a social group or support stereotypes and society, which is more commonly known as an implication. Does this theory have any implication such as negative social control?

Q

What are the comparisons of limitations points?

A

Comparison to other theories:
Is this the best exclamation out there? Compare to another theory to explain how it is far better at explaining the behaviour

Which theories are better than this one ? Why??

Limitations :
Can you explain all forms of that behaviour? Does it have limitations, what cant it explain?

Is the explanation, reductionist or holistic? - explain why it would make a good or bad theory?

Can you explain individual differences in behaviour?

Determinism/free will - if so, why does this matter?

Q

What are for how good is the evidence points?

A

If the research is rubbish, then this would mean the theory hasn’t been properly tested lowering the credibility of it

Does the evidence give the theory scientific status? - if So why?

Subjectivity/objectivity

Validity of methodology

Reliability

Typical sample seized in the evidence of the theory

Typical data collection methods used in the evidence of the theory
