  • Security force members are visible representatives of CO.
  • Carry out duties impartially, firmly, and commands respect from public.
  • Must refrain being disobedient, insulting, or offensive. Biases will not be tolerated.
  • No gaining favors or popularity by overlooking violations.
  • Maintain high standard of appearance.

Abuse of Position

A
  • Do not use position for personal or financial gain, obtaining special privileges, or avoiding consequences
  • Will not attempt to obtain info outside your area of responsibility.
  • Duty bound to protect health and welfare of all apprehended suspects. Abusive, profane, or insulting a suspect will not be tolerated.
  • May correct, caution, or warn someone for minor violations, but must not admonish, reprimand, or punish offender in any way.
  • Make every effort to avoid verbal and physical confrontation.

Dissemination of Information

A

Treat the business of security department as “official use only” with sharing info only to personnel who have “a need to know.” Always follow procedures for dissemination, removal, or copying of official records or reports.

Off-Duty Conduct

A

Must remain above reproach at all times. Under no circumstance may you consume alcohol while on duty or 8 hours prior to duty. An off-duty employment may not interfere with duties.

Private investigator or bail bondsmen are prohibited employment options due to conflict of interest.
