What is the Data Protection Act?
Data Protection act is a set of legislation that means companies are obliged to protect your personal information and should not keep unnecessary information on you.

Accessing computer material without permission, eg looking at someone else’s files.
Accessing computer material without permission with intent to commit further criminal offences, eg hacking into the bank’s computer and wanting to increase the amount in your account.
Altering computer data without permission, eg writing a virus to destroy someone else’s data, or actually changing the money in an account.
What is the Copyright Law
The Copyright Law prevents people from illegally copying content owned by another and distributing it illegally. FAST is the industry body which is against software theft.

Advantages - Don’t require pay , work longer hours , always available
Disadvantages - may malfunction and cause harm , don’t have the intelligence of humans in emergency, expensive upfront cost
