This would be the principle beneficence (acting in the best interest of the patient)

Answer 2

Failure modes and effects analysis is before an event (eg trying to prevent it)

Root cause analysis is after the event

If it has been decided to transition to comfort care and withhold life-sustaining medical treatment, it is still necessary to discuss resuscitative efforts with the family (such as CPR)
