Q

Other thoughts from Heidegger discussion

A

Just jump into the “circle” on the way to philosophy
All things reveal each other in relation – “truth”
The unconcealedness of beings is “truth”
“Truth” is not an answer, it is a double concealment
Poetry is about art that allows truth to come into being
Through the “circle,” indirectness becomes more profound, most ordinary things we’ve forgotten – think about ordinariness
Heidegger – truth at the very heart of it is untrue – it’s a lie
Paradoxes speak to us because they are true but they can’t be true because they violate logic
Power comes from giving up power – unworking
Every work of art unworks itself and that’s what makes it art
